About the team

This season we move up to contact rugby from tag rugby. It is a really good opportunity to get to grip with the basics and have fun. There is a good mixture of abilities and everyone is welcome.

The core spirit at Finchley RFC is based around:
1. Learning to play rugby and all of the ethics that go with rugby i.e. team play, fair play, encouragement and respect;
2. Getting the kids fit, you will be very surprised to see the difference in your child (if they have not played before) from the start of the season compared to the end where we take part in competitions;
3. Last but definitely not least, having fun and enjoying the sessions with a smile on your face.

The Under 9s is open to all kids, boys and girls, who are 8 years old on the 1st of September. The season starts on the first Sunday in September and runs until the beginning of May. Please feel free to contact one of the team officials above if you have questions.
