Under 8's is a fantastic time to introduce kids to mini-rugby.
The core spirit at Finchley RFC is based around:
1. Learning to play rugby and all of the ethics that go with rugby ie. team play, fair play, encouragement and respect;
2. Getting the kids fit, you will be very surprised to see the difference in your child (if they have not played before) from the start of the season compared to the end where we take part in competitions;
3. Last but definitely not least, having fun and enjoying the sessions with a smile on your face.

The season tends to follow this path. Firstly, getting the kids to learn the real basics of catching and passing the ball, developing various running skills , then dependent of progress, towards the second half of the season, preparation for the various tournaments that take place (this is where it gets a bit more exciting and where you can see just how much the kids have come on).

The Under 7's is open to boys and girls, who are 6 years old on the 1st of September. The season starts on the first Sunday in September and runs until the end of April. Please feel free to contact one of the team officials above if you have questions.
