TIM PIPER 1940-2025

TIM PIPER 1940-2025

George Loureda21 Jan - 18:42

Tim Piper, former President of Finchley Rugby Club, has died aged 84.

Tim joined Finchley in 1959 and played fly half (No 10) for the club,
mainly in the lower teams, for over 20 years. He ended his playing career
playing veteran’s rugby with the Hawks.

He was a solicitor by profession and served as the club’s Legal Adviser for
many years. He became President in 1976 and served in that role until
1981. He specialised in property law and helped many club members with
their house purchases.

He was a dapper figure always immaculately dressed usually in a three-
piece suit – even at weekends!

Tim lived most of his life in Hampstead Garden Suburb and moved to
Saffron Walden when he retired. He will be sadly missed by all who knew
him.

We send our sincere condolences to Tim`s family and friends at this sad time.
