Dear Members,
This year, Finchley RFC celebrates 100 years of passion, teamwork, and community. As a One Club – players, parents, supporters, alumni, and sponsors – we share a vision: to become the most highly regarded Community Rugby Club in North London.
To achieve this, we have launched the FRFC100 Community Sport Fund, aiming to raise £100,000 by the end of 2025, matched by an additional £100,000 in pro bono contributions. These funds will support five key projects to enhance our facilities, ensuring a sustainable future and a strong foundation for our next century.
Our First Project – The Community Gym
We are kicking off with an ambitious £20,000 campaign to build a gym onsite. This facility, equipped with donated high-end gear, will be open to members of all ages and the local community, promoting fitness and well-being in a safe, friendly environment. We have started this work and laid the foundations but now we need your support to buy the gym cabins.
Future Projects Include:
1. Women & Girls’ Changing Facilities – Supporting growth and success.
2. Pitch Drainage Improvements – Ensuring year-round play on the Glebelands pitches.
3. Historic Stand Renovation – Restoring our iconic 1930s cantilevered stand.
4. Clubhouse Back Bar Renovation – Expanding space, improving access, and enhancing its value as a community venue.
We need your help! In addition to planned fundraising events, we encourage all members to get involved. From donating prizes to organizing fundraisers, every contribution matters.
This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to celebrate our centenary by leaving a lasting legacy. Together, we can secure Finchley RFC’s future as a thriving hub for rugby and the community.
