Celebrating a Milestone Start!

What a start to our centenary season! This weekend’s launch event was a huge success, and I want to personally thank everyone who attended and supported. The energy, passion, and community spirit were truly inspiring, setting the perfect tone for the year ahead.

Highlights:
We kicked things off with our first-ever women’s game in 40 years against Hackney – and I’m thrilled to announce that our women’s team claimed a fantastic victory, winning 44-5! This historic moment was followed by dominant performances from both our 2nd XV who beat Finsbury Park 40-26 and the 1st XV who won 41-3, securing impressive wins. A massive thank you to the flag bearers and all our supporters who cheered the teams on – your presence made all the difference!

Player Registration:
As we dive into the season, I want to remind all players to complete their registration. It’s crucial that every player is signed up through the RFU’s GMS system - see How to Join, and don’t forget to pay your registration fees via our club website. You’ll find all the details under the “Pay Membership” section online. This ensures everyone’s ready to play and fully registered with the club.

If any members are facing financial difficulties, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly. We’re here to support our rugby family, and any conversations will be handled with the utmost confidence and care.

Club Kit & Merchandise:
This is our centenary season, and I encourage all players to wear the correct club kit throughout the year. If you need any gear, the club shop is available via the website – Kit & Merchandise. In addition, we have a range of centenary-branded merchandise including beanies, T-shirts, hoodies, ties, and water bottles – all available for purchase in the clubhouse.

Thank you again for making the launch unforgettable. Let’s keep the momentum going and make this centenary season one to remember!

George
