Introducing Finchley Rugby Football Club’s Centenary Year

This year, Finchley Rugby Club turns 100. That’s 100 years of success, teamwork, and, above all, passion. We are extremely proud of this heritage.

We are one club - players, coaches, parents, supporters, alumni, social members and sponsors - who strive to enable the enjoyment of rugby for every member, fulfil every individual’s potential in the game, and to play rugby at the highest level.

As we mark this landmark year, it is a chance for us to celebrate with all our members, players past and present, parents and friends of the club. In doing so, we hope to inspire future players and supporters and build strong foundations for the next 100 years.

We will bring you a calendar of exciting events to help us all celebrate together throughout the 2024/25 season and beyond. Join us on the weekend of September 7th and 8th 2024, to kick off our Centenary season with a weekend of matches and fun to celebrate this momentous achievement.

Senior Men’s Launch – Saturday 7th September - 1.30pm onwards

There will be a buffet lunch in the clubhouse for all club members, supporters and sponsors. This will be followed by the Men’s first home League game of the season against Datchworth. After the game there will be a BBQ and the International fixtures between the Red Roses v France, South Africa v New Zealand and Argentina v Australia in the Rugby Championship will be shown on the big screen.

Mini’s, Youth’s and Girls Launch – Sunday 8th September – 12.00pm onwards

There will be matches for all ages and an all-day BBQ and drinks will be provided. There will be player registration on the day and M&Y Club kit will be available to purchase.
Across both days there will be a launch of the centenary with displays of the club history. Centenary merchandise including water bottles, hoodies and T shirts will be available to purchase.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the 7th and 8th September.
